Well, I just thought I'd post a quick update on the progress of our lovely old hall in the mountains of the Gold Coast hinterland.

Here at Beechmont, we've been busy scrubbing walls, attending to repairs, making curtains and bringing in some gorgeous furniture to make life a little easier and even more gorgeous for all our lovely clients. It's only been a few short weeks since we had the soft launch of our new venue but already, the weekends are booking up fast. It seems that love is indeed in the air with plenty of couples falling for our Hall just as we did!

And as we prep the Hall for our first events, we see Autumn on the way with the first hints of a chill in the air, the South East Queensland wet season finally starting to break through and of course, the beautiful sunsets that this season delivers. I must admit, I think Beechmont is even lovelier in the rain when the mist rolls down through the Valley and across the mountain tops and settles on the ground. The rain on the tin roof makes me think of Norah Jones, cozy rugs and chilling out with a good book. Winter is definitely a romantic time in the mountains!

But there's no time to rest - not just yet anyway. We have lots of plans for this lovely old Hall and we won't stop until it's pristine for our first weddings set against the spectacular backdrop that nature delivers in our little corner of the world.

Waaaay back in 2014, Rebecca from 'weddings at the Stradbroke Hotel' fame, asked Two Little Rows to style her birthday party, planned for 2017.

Bec and Two Little Rows work together on a pretty regular basis at the Straddie Hotel and it's fair to say that we are fans of each other's work. February 2017 seemed like a long way away back then and now it's come and gone. But oh, what a night!

After a few incarnations, Rebecca (or Bec as she's affectionately known to all who know her) decided on her venue - awesome Providence Farm Hall at Beechmont. And the theme? A Midsummer's Night Feast. We planned for a long banquet table outside in the field with the Hall interior as our 'Plan B' (always have a 'Plan B' and your event will be super chilled!).

On the night, Plan B was far from our minds with the weather gods delivering just what we'd ordered.. mild and fine with vivid splashes of stars and the Milky Way in full view across the evening sky.

Bec's only request was "lots of fairy lights" so we set out a banquet table beneath an arbour of fairy lights, foliage and candles with a view through beautiful Numinbah Valley and across to the Springbrook Plateau. A comfy lounge with a basket of cozy rugs invited guests to linger under the stars with a backdrop of twinkling lights. All the very best Lamington Plateau has to offer!
